Sketch your dream house using the three dimensional shapes like sphere, cone, cuboid, cube etc. and count the number of shapes you have used in the sketch. Appreciate the architectural beauty of the created sketch by using any medium of expression of your choice. You may express your thoughts in the form of a limerick (5 line humorous poem with lines 1, 2 and 5 rhyming to each other) or in the form of expressive passages. Share your limerick.

3D shapes are solids that consist of 3 dimensions, namely - length, breadth, and height. 3D in the words 3D shapes means three-dimensional shapes. Every 3D shape occupies some space based on its dimensions and we can see so many 3D shapes all around us in our day-to-day life. Some examples of 3D shapes are cube, cuboid, cone, and cylinder.

ReplyDeleteSince I live in a place where there is direct sunlight almost 8 to 9 months in a year, I first thought of what shape would reflect the sunlight most, and then I designed my dream house. My dream house would have spherical domes on top, the height of top floor would be more than normal and would have windows at more height than normal to get the light and wind but protect the house from overheating.

Building a house is one if the major achievement for anyone. I was in the way of getting started for it and this activity helped me to visualise how I want my house to look.

I believe my dream house , will be in a place facing a hill ,which will provide me the necessary positive energy for every challenge of life and the urge to climb up everyday and return back the same day .It's shape will be simple more of a big rectangle with a triangle over it, and lots of squares as windows ,which can not only give me fresh air to breathe but also the scenic beauty to adore light blue sky of dawn or the golden sky of dusk or even the peaceful dark sky with stars twinkling to make me appease and relish the days achievements.I would love my courtyard to be muddy with the pleasant smell of mother earth during rains and tight during summer with lots of trees around.

ReplyDeleteI always imagine how my future house will be. A home is a place surrounded by the people one loves. My dream house should be the one facing a small river. Through the windows, I could see the sun setting and disappearing into the mountains.
ReplyDeleteMy dream home would be squared off with very clean lines and edges. Ideally, it would be white with a large ‘inside/outside’ type of area. It would need large windows to allow for maximal natural light throughout the home. The house that I fancy would be considerably big with four rooms and a spacious common area. Living Room needs to be big and spacious. I’m Indian, so hosting a million family members - comfortably - is a huge priority. Ideally, I’d like to have large seating area that’s recessed into the floor with a table in the middle. Perhaps a ‘U-Shape’ seating area. The living room and kitchen are next to each other with French doors that open out to a courtyard. It’s great for parties and just the flow of everyday activities in those areas. The master bedroom would have an all window extension for sitting on wide padded benches and overlooking my gorgeous flower gardens with some space where I can grow my own vegetables and fruits also sitting area preferably with a swing .
At the top of my home, their will be room either fully made of glass or at least with glass roof, with fully climate control system.
My dream house will be one with a contemporary design, well lit and spacious with enough storage space . There would be a beautiful lawn and a swimming pool

The tall towers with conical tops makes it look so nice,
The airy windows in sphere and square, open to the blue,
The pretty oval garden outside my house, is well surrounded by rectangular bricks
In the center of the garden lies a hexagonal pond with fountain sprinkling high,
And, when I return back home after my day's hard work,
This sweet little house of mine, gives me heavenly bliss.

ReplyDeleteIt can be made using 3-D shapes. Cuboidal structure at the bottom with square and rectangular windows, Conical structure at the top. Beautiful circular sceneries and triangular photo frames inside the house.
