Considering your classroom practices, state three ways in which you conduct several assessment practices? Are these practices planned, designed and implemented by yourself or are these structured at different levels and assigned to you by the school authorities or board of education? Suppose you want to change these existing assessment strategies then suggest an alternative way you plan and implement on your own and it is not directed from the higher authorities.

  25. During the last five minutes of class ask students to reflect on the lesson and write down what they’ve learned. Then, ask them to consider how they would apply this concept or skill in a practical setting. Exit tickets using tools like Loop make this easy to administer and review student answers.

    Give a short quiz at the end of class to check for comprehension.

It comprises of end of the lesson worksheets ( also quizlet, live worksheets, word walls, video reflections on flipgrid being online mode), we have planned subject enrichment activities and Integrated projects in such a way that the the topics get explored to the maximum, while also focusing on the SDGs. The Term End Assessments comprises of subjective and objective questions which are more situation based and mainly focus on application of the learned topics,

  53. Though traditional assessment practices are there and being followed but with a mix of 21st centuries requirement. I have introduced case study based assessment even in primary and middle classes to instigate their exploring power. Another technique that I am following is I assign a page or two from the subject and ask the student to frame questions like true false, fill in the blanks, match the column, multiple choice and short answer type questions and then also frame the answers for the same but the questions should not be the same as given in their text books. This helps them to become creative and explore the content.This reversed process is helping the students a great deal and they are feeling confident.

Although, the already designed plans put up by higher authorities are working quite well in the classroom but still the need of growth and development is there, as far as creation of new ideas related to education is concerned. There are few alternatives which can be used and implemented in the classroom/online teaching:
    1. Padlet, it is one of the most useful tool to accumulate information incorporating use of pictures, videos, GIFs, links etc. All at just one single place.
    2. Wheelofnames, It helps students to engage with the teacher and fellow students in a more prolific way where enthusiasm of students can be seen easily.
    3. Kahoot/Quizizz, these two platforms have helped so many teachers in joining in alongside students to get the best out of them by making them take part in quizzes related to the concerned topic. Teachers get to know the understanding level of students by throwing questions at them.

The teacher only assess how well they have understood the topic, the speaking skills, creativity in mask making and costume designing, writing skill in the form of dialogue writing, and many more skills.
